Senior and overweight dogs may be fed a lesser amount depending on the dog’s weight and activity level.
Feed pregnant dogs up to 50% more during the last two months of pregnancy and lactation.
Give dry or moist Kankawe with a small amount of water, clear soup or milk, ensuring that the food stays warm. Do not leave damp food in the dish.
Kankawe, as well as all dry foods, requires you to provide more water for your dog. Always keep fresh, clean water within your pet’s reach.
When switching from another dog food to Kankawe, make the diet change gradually. Mix the former dog food with Kankawe, and gradually increase the proportion of the new food over one week. An abrupt diet change may cause digestion problems and diarrhea.
